Paytyn Woltersdorf joined Marquez Public Affairs in spring 2021, bringing extensive expertise in state government and regulatory affairs from her work at the Texas Capitol and the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC). This year, Capitol Inside recognized her as one of its Rising Stars in Texas lobbying, highlighting her growing influence in the profession.

At the PUC, Paytyn served as Chief of Staff, advising on energy and utility policy. She was also a senior advisor to two commissioners, including the Chair, solidifying her reputation as a rising star in electricity issues.

Before her PUC tenure, she worked as an aide to Senator Kelly Hancock, specializing in water, agriculture, and economic development.

Since transitioning to the private sector, Paytyn has successfully lobbied on a diverse range of topics, including electricity, oil and gas, higher education, transportation, healthcare modernization, Medicaid, and criminal justice reform.

Paytyn is a graduate of Texas A&M University and lives in Austin.
